Espresso / Cappuccino and Latte Set with Frother & Coffeemaker

Product Description

With the invention of the stovetop espresso coffee maker, espresso long a staple of Italian cafés and bars became available for home consumption. As the cold water in the lower chamber heats, the pressure from its boiling forces the water up through the coffee grounds. In just a few minutes, espresso emerges from the spout into the upper chamber as the pot hisses and gurgles. Remove the pot from the heat and let it stand until the lower chamber is releasing only steam.
The lower water tank holds a metal filter and features a safety valve. The upper tank fills with perfectly brewed coffee. Now Italys favorite aluminum coffeemaker can go to work in your kitchen, making delicious espresso on gas or electric stovetops.//////Perfect cappuccino is easy with this ingenious frother. This manual frother transforms hot milk into a luxuriously thick creamy topping for your freshly brewed coffee or espresso. You can heat milk, produce froth and serve it in this stainless steel pot. Useful with hot or cold milk, the frother can also be used for creating luscious café au lait, café lattes, whipping milk shakes or beating egg whites.

Roma Cappuccino Creamer - 6 Cups by Frabosk

Product Description

Make a real cappuccino, Italian style! This high quality 18/10 stainless steel milk frother produces persistent and abundant whipped cream or milk quickly and easily. In a few seconds, it produces a rich, hot or cold milk froth which is more digestible and more appetising than that obtained using steam machines, where the fats are burnt by the high temperatures. The frother goes on the stovetop, too, so the milk can be warmed directly in the frother. And it is not only for cappuccino... use it for milkshakes, Irish Coffee and even mounted egg whites! Made in Italy, patented by Frabosk. 9 inches h. - 6 cups capacity

Customer Buzz
I like my Latte iced, so heating the milk with a steam spigot makes no sense. A couple of brisk pumps of the handle creates very frothy milk. Also, much easier to clean than a steamer, just toss in the dishwasher.

We've tried several brands, this one's the best.

"Milano" Milk / Cappuccino Frother (32 fl oz/ 0.94 l)

Product Description

Il miglior Cappuccino in pochi secondi a casa tua" The best cappuccino at home in a few seconds! If you would like to heat the milk for your cappuccino right on the stove top, the "milano" milk frother is the right choice for you. With its thick sandwich bottom and its 18/10 stainless steel body and handle, this cappuccino creamer is perfectly designed and equipped for the job. Frabosk milk frothers are the only kitchen tools born to produce persistent and abundant whipped cream quickly and easily. Authentic to the Italian kitchen of the past. Also perfect for delicious milkshakes, Irish coffee, Italian white coffee and more. When cappuccino cream is prepared using traditional steam systems at temperatures in excess of 150 °C, the fat molecules in the milk are modified and become less digestible. On the contrary, the cream produced manually with Frabosk cappuccino creamer / milk frother, respects the natural lightness and ease of digestion of the milk. Frabosk Cappuccino Creamers are unique in permitting the cream to be produced even with cold milk from the refrigerator. UHT (long-life) milk produces an even thicker and more abundant cream. Made in Italy by Frabosk, a leader in house ware products since 1930.

"Faenza" Cappuccino / Milk Frother, 14 Fl Oz/ 0.41 lt

Product Description

"Cappuccino Creamer Porcellana" This beautiful milk frother features a classical porcelain mug and a transparent ABS lid. The traditional design reminds of the "good old times". Heat the milk right in the mug either in the microwave or on the stove top. faenza is dishwasher safe and ideal to serve an extraordinary milk cream for cappuccino. Made in Italy by Frabosk, a leader in house ware products since 1930. If you wish more information, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service department at: (704) 545-2287.

Customer Buzz
I was saddened to see this not currently available on Amazon.com! We have used the Frabosk Milk Frother since 1995 for making delicious lattes, cappuccinos and fancy coffee drinks. Discovered this great product while living in Europe ..it allows a quick heat up in the Microwave, then about 60 seconds of pumping and before your espresso or coffee has finished flowing, you have a lovely vessel of frothy milk. Easy to use, very easy to clean and lots of versatility. I have only replaced the frothing unit once in 10 years. Wanted to purchase an additional one as gift to a friend..hoping this becomes available soon!

Customer Buzz
I purchased this frother for my husband and although it works fine, it is a little big for one person. Oh and just a minor detail, I thought with this one being porcelain it would be white and it is not, it's a cream color. All in all it's a great product.

Customer Buzz
First of all I love the classic design of the thing.
It's made of porcelain and looks as if from the fifties (the lid and top are plastic though).
So here we go: heat full fat milk (sorry for all those skim freaks, love my cappuccino with the full flavor), pour it into the thing, (put on Ohio Players' Fopp) and start frothing.
Before you know it you'll have the creamiest milk you can imagine.
Pour it onto your coffee/espresso, add brown sugar and cacao as a topping, put on Pavarotti and you're in Roma sipping the best cappuccino (well, almost...)
Since it is a cup, you can also add the coffee and drink it from this. But I prefer it the other way around.
If you have a few Neuhaus truffles in the house, have those too ... hmmmm delicious!
To heat the milk you can of course also put the cup in the microwave but since I don't want such a unromantic thing in my house I can't and won't.

Customer Buzz
I absolutely love my Frabosk ceramic milk frother. I brought mine back with me from Italy (where they cost half as much!) and originally bought it as a replacement for my metal stovetop Frabosk frother, which worked like a dream and held more milk, but I'd accidentally melted the plastic frother piece when I left it inside the pot on the stove (doh!). I like the ceramic mug because I can pop it in the microwave (I fill it no more than 1/3 full and heat it at full power for 45 sec to 1 min.) and it can also be used to serve a cappuccino or latte directly in the mug. People are always admiring my Frabosk and asking where I got it. It makes absolutely beautiful, perfect foam with either cold or hot milk, and even with soy milk! You don't need an expensive, clunky espresso machine if you just have this and a moka (stovetop espresso pot). That's how the Italians do it. [p.s. another tip for good foam - give the bottom of the mug a few hard taps on the counter after foaming, then let it sit for a minute before serving.]

Customer Buzz
Lift your game windummy. windummy is putting too much milk in. windummy is heating the milk too hot. The milk should be heated to only 70 degrees Celsius (158Deg F). As the other poster said, you dont need to look, because it wont be getting anywhere near boiling. You do it by time; microwaves have different power levels so pay attention how long yours takes to get to the right temp. Mine is: half-fill with cold fridge-temp milk 60 seconds, stir (because the top is hotter than the bottom and you might over cook the top), 15 seconds more, then froth it.

You only need to oscillate the froth sieve up and down about 1 inch or less. Start at the top of the milk and as you work the air in, go a little deeper. The bubbles should not be large -- we're aiming for a velvety micro-foam.

You don't need a seal because the creamer mug is only half-full, not boiling, and you are not mashing potatoes. The spillage occurred because you had it too full. Pouring won't spill either if you have it less full, you silly sausage.

A half mug of milky foam only serves two smallish cups of latte. Or one Grande for me!

Remember the cups need to be well heated before the coffee and micro-foam are poured in -- otherwise the temp will drop, and it will seem too cool.
Because the porcelain creamer soaks up heat too, the second lot (in a hot creamer) will take even less time to get to 70 Deg C

Bialetti Cappuccino and Latte Set

Product Description

Set which includes an Italian 6-cup aluminum, stovetop espresso maker along with an Italian milk frother. This set allows you to create a great tasting cappuccino or latte.

Customer Buzz
i am no longer tempted to go the local coffee shop for frothed drinks. I also find this frother easier to use than the ones on expensive espresso machines. Still getting used to the espresso maker but i thought it still came out very good.

Customer Buzz
I love this set. We have been having so much fun, and I didn't have to break the bank! Tastes just as good as the 1000.00 machines on the market! LOVE IT! I think I will go make one right now. :)

Customer Buzz
i've had little italian moka pots before but none of them compare to this little gem. not only is the espresso perfect every time, but the pot rinses/wipes clean easily, goes together easily, etc., which cannot be said for other, cheaper espresso pots.

the frother is amazing! i want to froth things in it all of the time. i have had two glass bodied frothers and of course they've been broken due to their constant use and fragility. i don't use mine as the pot for making the milk, i heat the milk in a little pot on the stove and pour it into the frother when it's hot. to me, the frother doesn't look sturdy enough to withstand years of use being heated twice, three times a day on the stovetop. i also think it would be useful to have a spout on the frother for pouring, but the insane amazingess of the frothing itself makes up for these little flaws.

i am a person who doesn't mind waiting 10-15 minutes to have perfect coffee in her hands. i enjoy the process nearly as much as the end result. it's a great espresso maker and makes the coffee ritual very enjoyable from start to finish. i even like seeing it drying out on the counter!

Customer Buzz
The perfect latte/cappucino can be made from this set, and it's far cheaper and faster than going to a coffee shop.

Customer Buzz
I was so impressed with the milk frother. I was a little concerned about it not really working, as I use soy milk. But it produced perfect froth beautifully and easily. yay for sunday morning, homemade lattes.

Customer Buzz
This simple Bialetti Cappuccino and Latte Set is better than any of the expensive electric expresso makers. The double filter milk frother makes lots of foam, where others don't. I am so glad that this product was recommended to me. Also there are no electric parts to go bad and you can't beat the price. Very satisfied.

Customer Buzz
I love buying Starbucks lattes, but I don't like spending 5 bucks for a cup of coffee, so I decided I wanted to buy an espresso machine. However, all of the "real" espresso machines, whether they are pump or steam driven, are super expensive. The ones that were reasonable priced had either bad or inconsistent reviews. With one exception: The bialetti moka express had amazing reviews and was a really great price. So after a lot of investigation, I opted for the Bialetti Cappuccino and Latte Set. I made my first latte today, and here's what I have to say:

1. It's easy to use. Follow the directions on the coffee tin to figure out how much to use. In order to make one drink for myself, I used one heaping tablespoon of Illy espresso and 5 oz of water. Put the water in the bottom, the coffee (not pressed) in the filter part, screwed it on and set on the stove (medium heat). Wait until it stops gurgling, and the coffee is done.

2. The milk frother is great. Start heating it up before you begin making the coffee because it takes a while to warm the milk. Once its done, take it off the burner, place the lid on, and pump it a few times. The milk was thick and frothy.

3. I poured the "espresso" in the cup, added the milk, and voila! Sure, it's not "true" espresso because there is no crema, but to me it tastes just as good as Starbucks and was a fraction of the cost of an espresso machine. I'm sure I'll be saving money in no time. I plan to buy some vanilla syrup and enjoy many lattes, capuccinos, and steamers.

4. To clean, wait until the pot cools, then rinse everything out with water and dry by hand.

I reccomend this set to anyone who wants to make lattes at home. I am very happy with my purchase.

Customer Buzz
I'm a pretty "average" coffee drinker; I'm not so into it that I'm going to be roasting my own beans anytime soon. On the other hand, I've also had my share of watered down and bitter tasting sludge water once in a while from national chains as well and I can appreciate a good cup of coffee.

This little device seems like a good middle ground. Not so steep in price that you feel like you need to be a coffee snob to really appreciate it, and yet it produces an above average cup of cappuccino. You can certainly spend a lot more on a coffee preparation device, but there's no guarantee that you're going to get results that really justify the extra cost.

Compared to some devices I've used in the past, I would list the key pros of this one as:

1. Very easy to clean. The frothing cup has a non-stick coating and it's easy to rinse out. The percolator is pretty easy to assemble/disassemble once it's cool. All the parts are easy to remove and rinse clean. The coffee grinds are very easy to remove as well (one of my main concerns).

2. The frothing cup works GREAT. I was a bit tepid to try it out with some organic skim milk, but it worked out great! I set about 3/4 cup of milk over very low heat until I saw a bit of steam coming off the cup and put the plunger over it and within 10-15 pumps, I had a nice, thick, frothy mixture (even with skim milk!).

3. Paired with some Illy coffee, the coffee came out very, very well. Perhaps the best coffee I've had in quite a while. No bitterness and, to my surprise, even with the fine grind of the beans, the coffee was pretty much free of grinds.

4. To my surprise, I was able to get a bit of crema! Yes, it's possible even with this relatively cheap device (there are a few videos on Youtube demonstrating this).

A few things held this combo back from being a 5 star product:

1. The directions are TERRIBLE. No suggestions on the amount of grinds to use (yes, to some degree, this is really dependent on your personal taste, but at least give me a baseline!). There's also no suggestion on the grind to use either (I ended up using a fine grind Illy). There's no measuring cup and at least on mine, there were no water level markers on the inside of the percolator. I ended up filling it about 3/4 of the way to the valve. As for grinds, I ended up using a bit more than 2 tablespoons and it seemed to work out well for me.

2. Unless you're standing next to the thing the whole time, there's really no way of telling when it's done; you really have to kind of stand there and watch it. With enough usage, I assume that you'll get the time down, but it would be nice if had some mechanism to alert you when it's done.

3. At least on my gas stove, it takes a while to heat up. Compared to a drip machine or other electric percolators I've used in the past, this device does take a bit more time since you can't really use high heat on your stove (unless you have an electric one). Since the base is rather small, you have to use it over a smaller burner and even then, you may have to use a rather low heat setting. All of this means that it takes a while for it to heat up. While this might contribute to a better tasting coffee, it also means more time.

All in all, I think it was well worth the $40 some dollars I paid for it. It's a great weekend companion; it's very satisfying to wake up on a lazy Sunday morning and make a cup of cappuccino for the wife and I and sit back and relax, without having to get dressed and rush out into the cold winter air. It's probably not ideal for every day use as it is a bit more time consuming and there is a bit more cleanup involved compared to a paper filter drip machine. But then again, if your working life is busy and hectic, it might be just the thing you need to slow down for a moment and enjoy a hot cup of cappuccino!

Customer Buzz
A great set that is easy to use and makes a wonderful cappuccino. I was a little nervous about the frother, but it works really well and is easy to use.

Customer Buzz
I bought this as a gift for my daughter....she asked for a different one from Macy's , which I couldn't find in the store....so I saw this one and ordered it....postage free....while I was at her home she made a latte and was very happy with the results....she just e-mailed, me that she uses it every day, and loves it.....it was easy to clean and the frother works beautifully.
