Espresso / Cappuccino and Latte Set with Frother & Coffeemaker

Product Description

With the invention of the stovetop espresso coffee maker, espresso long a staple of Italian cafés and bars became available for home consumption. As the cold water in the lower chamber heats, the pressure from its boiling forces the water up through the coffee grounds. In just a few minutes, espresso emerges from the spout into the upper chamber as the pot hisses and gurgles. Remove the pot from the heat and let it stand until the lower chamber is releasing only steam.
The lower water tank holds a metal filter and features a safety valve. The upper tank fills with perfectly brewed coffee. Now Italys favorite aluminum coffeemaker can go to work in your kitchen, making delicious espresso on gas or electric stovetops.//////Perfect cappuccino is easy with this ingenious frother. This manual frother transforms hot milk into a luxuriously thick creamy topping for your freshly brewed coffee or espresso. You can heat milk, produce froth and serve it in this stainless steel pot. Useful with hot or cold milk, the frother can also be used for creating luscious café au lait, café lattes, whipping milk shakes or beating egg whites.

Rattleware 56-Ounce Latte Art Pitcher

Product Description

Customer Buzz
This is just as advertised. It is a large 56 oz pitcher made of good grade stainless steel.

My only complaint is that the spout could use a redesign. When you pour out of the pitcher, you have to make sure you pour slowly, otherwise, it will dribble down the sides of the pitcher.

Customer Buzz
works well-play close attention to battery orientation-not what yor intuition tells you. Needs to be two up and two down

Customer Buzz
I got this product as a gift - it did not work. I felt bad about bothering the person who gave me the gift, so I ordered another one.

much to my surprise, it did not work either.

Well, maybe I have an amazing bad luck, but.... I cannot give this product a good rating, for obvious reasons

Customer Buzz
I love this product. I broke my first unit by dropping it. Missed it so much, I bought another! Works great on NON fat milk! What a treat to whip skim milk and put it on my coffee! I will always keep one on hand!

Customer Buzz
Does not froth milk even nearly as well as other units, even much cheaper ones. The "frothing disk" makes milk spin like crazy but creates very little foam. "Soft Touch" button very difficult to hold down for the required time to keep unit turned on. Position of the button on top requires holding it with a clenched fist which is very uncomfortable because of the force required to hold the button. I'm returning it.

BonJour Café Latte Frother, Battery Powered, Mettalic

Product Description

In just seconds, bonjour's automatic frothers produce rich creamy froth for your favorite coffee drinks. This battery operated frother whips milk into thick foam in seconds for creating a latte, cappuccino or macchiato. It's also handy for sauces, hot chocolate, foamy cocktails and even scrambles eggs. The soft-touch push button and chrome stand make this easy to use and store. Gray with black trim and push button, powered by 4 AA batteries.

Customer Buzz

This is my third 4-battery, handheld BonJour frother in 11 years. They do breakdown after awhile, but that's to be expected in an inexpensive gizmo with rapidly spinning parts. This one is newly designed and seems much more solidly built than its earlier incarnations.

I've tried the 2-battery Aerolatte, but it's irritatingly slow and doesn't give as much foam. I'll choose the power of a 4-battery model over a 2 any day. As far as foam quality, both brands seem the same to me.

Customer Buzz
The frother works great for making Greek Frappe Coffee. The blade is the best at whipping up the coffee. The only problem is the push button. It is too hard to push down, and you have to push it at the right spot. Otherwise, it goes too slowly.

Customer Buzz
Is very powerful, , works great, for best milk foam
we use Parmalat.Better than the other bonjour frother.
We love it.

Customer Buzz
Our Bonjour "Primo Latte" frother finally gave up the goose, and we didn't hesitate to get a replacement; we had been pleased with the product. Instead, we bought this "Cafe Latte Frother", as it appears to be Bonjour's next generation. Wow. I've never seen such a chasm between construction quality and performance. It is super solid and powerful, and yet it doesn't froth the milk at all! It's worthless.

It you want to froth, I recommend you get BonJour Primo Latte Frother with Stand, Black/Brushed Aluminum while they're still available; less power, not as solid, but works 10 times better.

Customer Buzz
This is great! Had one that broke, so backed off a star in the review, but got another one. It takes seconds, easy clean and pop it back in the stand.
I think the 4 batteries give it good power.

BonJour Primo Latte Frother, Rechargeable Includes Electric Base

Product Description

In just seconds, bonjour's automatic frothers produce rich creamy froth for your favorite coffee drinks. bonjour's best frother, now ready at all times! With the rechargeable bonjour primo latte frother there is no need to replace batteries ever again. Features a rechargeable base for easy countertop access. Black and silver with silver base.

Customer Buzz
I have had this for 5 months and this morning it died. I will go back to the ones with replaceable batteries..that one lasted a couple years before it slipped away. This worked great until its way too early death.

Customer Buzz
It's SUPER frother...most powerful one I've owned and I've gone through a handful as I use them every day. Worth the extra cost.

Customer Buzz
I bought this great Latter Frother from Bed, Bath & Beyond a month ago for a great deal of $25.00!
I love everything about this little frother. It makes a great, foamy froth fast n easy. One time charge last for a long time and after all it looks cute and compact!

Customer Buzz
I have used my frother for my morning latte for more than two years now. I have even used it to emulsify vinegar and oil and a couple of pinches herbs for a single serving salad dressing. It's easy to clean .. just whirr in a glass of hot water and dish detergent, then rinse. Anyone who complains it doesn't work should ask for their money back. They probably got a lemon. It happens sometimes.
I highly recommend this product.

Customer Buzz
I owned a battery operated Bon Jour frother for 4 years...it worked great but quit working last week. I missed the frother so much that I had to get another one...so when I looked to order it, I found this rechargeable one and decided to give it a try in spite of a few bad reviews. This frother is MUCH faster than the battery operated one, and much sturdier also. I believe the reason a few reviewers have had problems keeping a charge on this gadget is this: you must do an INITIAL charge of 16 hours and THEN keep the charger stand UNPLUGGED if you keep/store the frother in the stand. The instructions explain that if you continue to discharge the battery in small uses (as one would with normal daily use) and then put it directly back onto the charger while plugged in, the frother will no longer hold a long charge. This battery needs to be almost entirely DISCHARED before you RECHARGE it. The instructions for charging plainly state: "The life of rechargeable batteries can be impaired if the appliance is plugged in for over 24 hours." "Premature charging damages the batteries. Only recharge batteries if the appliance is noticeably reduced or if the appliance has not been used in 3 months." When all else fails, read the instructions!

Customer Buzz
it has been awesome...I am very happy with the product, the battery charged ones slowed down so quick before the batteries were even dead that it did not froth the same, with this one it is always full.

Customer Buzz
This product works very well. Always full of power no mess with the batteries.

Customer Buzz
This product was great, it frothed milk and almost made whip cream. However after about a year it just died. Won't recharge at all. Big disappointment. I hate replacing batteries too but I rather do that than just have a dead frother! It was also uncomfortable in my hand - but that is just a small complaint.

Customer Buzz
I find this product very useful. It can be used as a milk frother, for lattes, hot chocolate, or to make salad dressings. Another plus is that you don't have to change batteries because it comes with a battery charger.

Customer Buzz
The up side of this product is that it makes and amazingly thick froth with very little work. The downside is that when the rechargeable batteries die there is no way to replace them. I think that is selfish of a company to expect you to buy a whole new one when all that's wrong with it is the battery. I also feel that it is ecologically irresponsible of a company to not have to option to replace the battery. So dumb!!!!

Bialetti Cappuccino and Latte Set

Product Description

Set which includes an Italian 6-cup aluminum, stovetop espresso maker along with an Italian milk frother. This set allows you to create a great tasting cappuccino or latte.

Customer Buzz
i am no longer tempted to go the local coffee shop for frothed drinks. I also find this frother easier to use than the ones on expensive espresso machines. Still getting used to the espresso maker but i thought it still came out very good.

Customer Buzz
I love this set. We have been having so much fun, and I didn't have to break the bank! Tastes just as good as the 1000.00 machines on the market! LOVE IT! I think I will go make one right now. :)

Customer Buzz
i've had little italian moka pots before but none of them compare to this little gem. not only is the espresso perfect every time, but the pot rinses/wipes clean easily, goes together easily, etc., which cannot be said for other, cheaper espresso pots.

the frother is amazing! i want to froth things in it all of the time. i have had two glass bodied frothers and of course they've been broken due to their constant use and fragility. i don't use mine as the pot for making the milk, i heat the milk in a little pot on the stove and pour it into the frother when it's hot. to me, the frother doesn't look sturdy enough to withstand years of use being heated twice, three times a day on the stovetop. i also think it would be useful to have a spout on the frother for pouring, but the insane amazingess of the frothing itself makes up for these little flaws.

i am a person who doesn't mind waiting 10-15 minutes to have perfect coffee in her hands. i enjoy the process nearly as much as the end result. it's a great espresso maker and makes the coffee ritual very enjoyable from start to finish. i even like seeing it drying out on the counter!

Customer Buzz
The perfect latte/cappucino can be made from this set, and it's far cheaper and faster than going to a coffee shop.

Customer Buzz
I was so impressed with the milk frother. I was a little concerned about it not really working, as I use soy milk. But it produced perfect froth beautifully and easily. yay for sunday morning, homemade lattes.

Customer Buzz
This simple Bialetti Cappuccino and Latte Set is better than any of the expensive electric expresso makers. The double filter milk frother makes lots of foam, where others don't. I am so glad that this product was recommended to me. Also there are no electric parts to go bad and you can't beat the price. Very satisfied.

Customer Buzz
I love buying Starbucks lattes, but I don't like spending 5 bucks for a cup of coffee, so I decided I wanted to buy an espresso machine. However, all of the "real" espresso machines, whether they are pump or steam driven, are super expensive. The ones that were reasonable priced had either bad or inconsistent reviews. With one exception: The bialetti moka express had amazing reviews and was a really great price. So after a lot of investigation, I opted for the Bialetti Cappuccino and Latte Set. I made my first latte today, and here's what I have to say:

1. It's easy to use. Follow the directions on the coffee tin to figure out how much to use. In order to make one drink for myself, I used one heaping tablespoon of Illy espresso and 5 oz of water. Put the water in the bottom, the coffee (not pressed) in the filter part, screwed it on and set on the stove (medium heat). Wait until it stops gurgling, and the coffee is done.

2. The milk frother is great. Start heating it up before you begin making the coffee because it takes a while to warm the milk. Once its done, take it off the burner, place the lid on, and pump it a few times. The milk was thick and frothy.

3. I poured the "espresso" in the cup, added the milk, and voila! Sure, it's not "true" espresso because there is no crema, but to me it tastes just as good as Starbucks and was a fraction of the cost of an espresso machine. I'm sure I'll be saving money in no time. I plan to buy some vanilla syrup and enjoy many lattes, capuccinos, and steamers.

4. To clean, wait until the pot cools, then rinse everything out with water and dry by hand.

I reccomend this set to anyone who wants to make lattes at home. I am very happy with my purchase.

Customer Buzz
I'm a pretty "average" coffee drinker; I'm not so into it that I'm going to be roasting my own beans anytime soon. On the other hand, I've also had my share of watered down and bitter tasting sludge water once in a while from national chains as well and I can appreciate a good cup of coffee.

This little device seems like a good middle ground. Not so steep in price that you feel like you need to be a coffee snob to really appreciate it, and yet it produces an above average cup of cappuccino. You can certainly spend a lot more on a coffee preparation device, but there's no guarantee that you're going to get results that really justify the extra cost.

Compared to some devices I've used in the past, I would list the key pros of this one as:

1. Very easy to clean. The frothing cup has a non-stick coating and it's easy to rinse out. The percolator is pretty easy to assemble/disassemble once it's cool. All the parts are easy to remove and rinse clean. The coffee grinds are very easy to remove as well (one of my main concerns).

2. The frothing cup works GREAT. I was a bit tepid to try it out with some organic skim milk, but it worked out great! I set about 3/4 cup of milk over very low heat until I saw a bit of steam coming off the cup and put the plunger over it and within 10-15 pumps, I had a nice, thick, frothy mixture (even with skim milk!).

3. Paired with some Illy coffee, the coffee came out very, very well. Perhaps the best coffee I've had in quite a while. No bitterness and, to my surprise, even with the fine grind of the beans, the coffee was pretty much free of grinds.

4. To my surprise, I was able to get a bit of crema! Yes, it's possible even with this relatively cheap device (there are a few videos on Youtube demonstrating this).

A few things held this combo back from being a 5 star product:

1. The directions are TERRIBLE. No suggestions on the amount of grinds to use (yes, to some degree, this is really dependent on your personal taste, but at least give me a baseline!). There's also no suggestion on the grind to use either (I ended up using a fine grind Illy). There's no measuring cup and at least on mine, there were no water level markers on the inside of the percolator. I ended up filling it about 3/4 of the way to the valve. As for grinds, I ended up using a bit more than 2 tablespoons and it seemed to work out well for me.

2. Unless you're standing next to the thing the whole time, there's really no way of telling when it's done; you really have to kind of stand there and watch it. With enough usage, I assume that you'll get the time down, but it would be nice if had some mechanism to alert you when it's done.

3. At least on my gas stove, it takes a while to heat up. Compared to a drip machine or other electric percolators I've used in the past, this device does take a bit more time since you can't really use high heat on your stove (unless you have an electric one). Since the base is rather small, you have to use it over a smaller burner and even then, you may have to use a rather low heat setting. All of this means that it takes a while for it to heat up. While this might contribute to a better tasting coffee, it also means more time.

All in all, I think it was well worth the $40 some dollars I paid for it. It's a great weekend companion; it's very satisfying to wake up on a lazy Sunday morning and make a cup of cappuccino for the wife and I and sit back and relax, without having to get dressed and rush out into the cold winter air. It's probably not ideal for every day use as it is a bit more time consuming and there is a bit more cleanup involved compared to a paper filter drip machine. But then again, if your working life is busy and hectic, it might be just the thing you need to slow down for a moment and enjoy a hot cup of cappuccino!

Customer Buzz
A great set that is easy to use and makes a wonderful cappuccino. I was a little nervous about the frother, but it works really well and is easy to use.

Customer Buzz
I bought this as a gift for my daughter....she asked for a different one from Macy's , which I couldn't find in the store....so I saw this one and ordered it....postage free....while I was at her home she made a latte and was very happy with the results....she just e-mailed, me that she uses it every day, and loves it.....it was easy to clean and the frother works beautifully.
